Fear of Dan Brown's novel
I haven't read the book nor seen the movie about Dan Brown's novel, "The DaVinci Code". Poor me... Anyway, but to the tone of it, it is against the biblical teachings of the Bible. Therefore, Catholics and Christians are united against it. Worried that the faith about Christ are based on lies.

From Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code
The Priory of Sion—a European secret society founded in 1099—is a real organization. In 1975, Paris's Bibliothèque Nationale discovered parchments known as Les Dossiers Secrets, identifying numerous members of the Priory of Sion, including Sir Isaac Newton, Botticelli, Victor Hugo, and Leonardo da Vinci.
The Vatican prelature known as Opus Dei is a deeply devout Catholic group that has been the topic of recent controversy due to reports of brain-washing, coercion, and a practice known as "corporal mortification." Opus Dei has just completed construction of a $47 million National Headquarters at 243 Lexington Avenue in New York City.
All descriptions of artwork, architecture, documents, and secret rituals in this novel are accurate. (Excerpts from danbrown.com)
What they say...
From Lynne Paille
I've just seen another documentary about Dan Brown's novel, "The DaVinci Code", and again, I see all kinds of different "Christian" sects up in arms over the idea that, as according to many conspiracy minded people, that Jesus Christ, married Mary Magdalene, and fathered a child with her. I've decided that the time is now to put this debate to an end. "Christians" that have been disgusted with that notion should be ashamed of themselves. This is only further proof that many people follow their church blindly, without any true knowledge of the scriptures. (Excerpt from associatedcontent.com)

"Seek the Truth" is the movie's motto. And the book starts out saying, “FACT: All descriptions of artwork, architecture, documents, and secret rituals in this novel are accurate.”
"He's read this book called The Da Vinci Code, and he said, 'This has confirmed all my worst suspicions about Christianity,' Strobel said, “And all of a sudden he wasn't interested anymore in investigating the claims of Christianity."
So Jesus wasn't divine, he was married, he had children, and the church has been lying about and killing people to cover this up for the last 2,000 years? Well, what else did The Da Vinci Code get wrong? (Excerpts from cbn.com)

Those who have read the Da Vinci Code might have followed some of the controversy it has stoked regarding the true nature of Jesus Christ and the Church that he founded.
In short, the book and the subsequent movie are works of fiction. But the author, Dan Brown has worked his fiction in and around certain historical people and events, making it confusing for many people. Much of what it presents as fact is simply untrue. In fact, the central claim of the book is without any historical foundation. (Excerpts from acbc.catholic.org.au)
My Analysis
Seek the truth? Jesus was married and had children? Hmm... I don't have to go any further, because the subject is religion, let the Bible answer this question, and it is written...
Unjustly condemned,
he was led away.
No one cared that he died without descendants,
that his life was cut short in midstream.
But he was struck down
for the rebellion of my people.
-Isaiah 53:8 (New Living Translation)

In his humiliation he was deprived of justice.
Who can speak of his descendants?
For his life was taken from the earth."
-Acts 8:33 (New International Version)
